Marie Schroeder, 86
Marie C. Schroeder, 86, of New Prague, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at her home.
Marie was born in Robbinsdale on November 18, 1926, a daughter of Francis and Theodosia (Bauer) Carey. She married James B. Schroeder on June 14, 1952, in Robbinsdale. She received a four-year degree as a registered nurse from St. Catherine’s College and the University of Minnesota. She was a public health nurse and was very involved in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Mexia, TX.
She is survived by her husband; children Mary (Bill) Brown, Coppell, TX, Kate Fitterer, Shakopee, Margaret “Maggie” (Brian) Johnson, San Antonio, TX, and James David (Cathy) Schroeder, Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister Corinne (George) Nagovsky, Columbia Heights.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Janet Marie Schroeder, age 13; and her parents.
Services are pending at a later date.
Interment will be at St. Aiden’s Cemetery in Freeborn County.
Arrangements are with the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
