American Legion Auxiliary to meet Jan. 17 The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 45 will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Park Ballroom clubroom located at 300 Lexington Ave. S., New Prague. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will be at 7 p.m. The Bar Committee for January is Donna Dols, Ruth Dols, Linda Dvorak and Lorraine Edel.

Lonsdale Golden Agers meeting on Jan. 17 The Lonsdale area wide seniors (Golden Agers) will meet at the Lonsdale Civic Center at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Youth Archaeology Workshop to be held Jan. 21 Discover what it takes to be another “Indiana Jones” at the Scott County Historical Society from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, during “Typology Building and Artifact Reconstruction.” What is “Typology?” How does a person put together a broken artifact? Here’s a chance to experience and discover archaeology with Dr. Jeremy Nienow. Register for an afternoon of fun, hands-on archaeology activities. This free workshop is for ages 11-16. Parkinson support group meeting on Jan. 24 The Parkinson support group will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the New Prague Library, 400 Main St. E. Care givers, family and friends are encouraged to also attend. The Parkinson support group normally meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, although that is subject to change.
