Car seat checkup clinic is Dec. 18
There will be a free car seat safety checkup from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 18, at New Prague Auto Group, 1185 280th Street West, New Prague. Parents, grandparents and others who transport children on a regular basis are invited to stop in. No appointments are necessary. Call Diane at 952-758-2530 for more information.
Certified technicians from New Prague EMS and New Prague Auto Group will meet one-on-one with drivers who transport children on a regular basis.
Scott County HHW Facility closed Dec. 20 - Jan. 5
The Scott County HHW Facility will be closed from December 20 through January 5, to allow us to clean the facility and restock supplies for the coming season.
American Legion Post 45 to meet Tuesday, Dec. 21
Charles Borak Post 45 of the American Legion, New Prague, will hold a regular monthly meeting at the Park Ballroom clubroom on Tuesday evening, Dec. 21.
Annual dues for 2011 may be paid at the meeting.
A pot luck supper will be served by the ladies of the auxiliary at 6 p.m. and be followed by the post and auxiliary meetings.
There will also be an election to the Park Ballroom board of directors at the men's meeting.
Wheatland Twin Lakes Sportsman Club to meet Dec. 21
Wheatland Twin Lakes Sportsman will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the American Legion Club in Montgomery. Public is welcome to attend.
Alzheimer's Support group meets Dec. 21
The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine and its Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association provide resources and a support group for community members whose lives are touched by Alzheimer's disease and other memory loss disorders.
The group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Kingsway Retirement Living in the Ratzkeller on The Lutheran Home Campus. Caring and Sharing will be the topic.
