Divorce Support Group meets Jan. 5 The Area Separated & Divorce Support Group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church, lower level, 215 Main St. E. New Prague. The next session is Jan. 5. Come and experience good support as you move through this time in your life. People of all faiths are welcome. Small flock chicken workshop on Dec. 28 University of Minnesota Carver and Scott County Interim Extension Educator, Colleen Carlson will host an educational program on poultry production. The workshop’s agenda is filled with topics geared toward the needs of the beginning farmer, hobbyist or backyard producer and those who would like to raise birds on a small scale. The presentation will include breed and species selection, purchasing information, management techniques, and local laws and ordinances. There are costs to attend for adults and for students. Attendees will receive a copy of the workshop’s proceedings. The next workshop is 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at the Scott County Extension Office in conference room one at the Scott County Fairgrounds, 7151—190th St. W, Jordan.
