Car Seat Safety Clinic is March 21

The New Prague Ambulance Service, in cooperation with New Prague Auto Group, will hold its monthly Car Seat Safety Clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 21, at the local dealership. Certified technicians from New Prague Ambulance Service will check the child safety seat, including boosters, to ensure that the product is safe, fits the child and is properly installed.

St. Pat's Bake Sale & boutique is March 21

A Spring Bake Sale and boutique will be held at the St. Patrick's Social Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21. The event will feature fresh-baked cinnamon and caramel rolls to eat in or take with, as well as lots of home-made goodies including cookies, cakes and breads.

Home party representatives and vendors will also be on hand with a wide selection of household items, books, cosmetics and gifts. The event is sponsored by the St. Patrick Council of Catholic Women.


Relay for Life breakfast set for Shakopee

The Scott County Relay For Life will hold its Kick-Off Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Applebee's Restaurant, 1568 Vierling Drive E. in Shakopee.

This is an All-You-Can-Eat breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee or tea. Tickets are available at the door, and committee members will be on hand to answer questions about the relay.


Food Shelf to sponsor dinner

The Le Center Food Shelf board of directors will sponsor their third annual Bohemian Dinner and Cookie Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 21. The event will be held at the

Le Center American Legion Post 108.

Take-outs and free in-town deliveries are available.


Suicide survivor support group meets

Family and friends of victimes of suicide are welcome to attend a monthly gathering on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

This month's event is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. There is no need to register.

This gathering is for parents, children, grandparents, siblings, neighbors or friends of someone who died from suicide. For more information call Ginny at 952-457-5193.


Golden Agers meet March 24

The Lonsdale Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the Crusader Civic Center in Lonsdale.

Bingo will be played and there will be hamburgers for lunch.

Serving committee includes Gladys Sirek, Marion Sirek and Alice LaPierre. All seniors are welcome to attend.


River Valley Business Network meets

The River Valley Business Network group is for business operators in Jordan, New Prague, and surrounding communities. The meetings are for business owners and those interested in growing their businesses. Meetings are held twice a month and vary by business locations.

Memorial breakfast is March 29

The Second Annual Roman Barten Memorial Benefit Breakfast will be held Sunday, March 29, at the New Prague Knights of Columbus Hall.

This breakfast is a benefit for Brooklyn Pickens of New Prague, a 3-year-old with an extremely rare lung condition that robs her body of oxygen.
