Senior Citizens to meet March 3 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday, March 3, at the New Prague City Hall second floor meeting room, 118 Central Ave. N. The bus picks up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. For reservations call 952-496-8341. All seniors are welcome to join the club for meetings and cards the first Friday of each month at 12:45 p.m.
Ducks Unlimited banquet is March 3 The Tri-County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold its 22nd annual Banquet on Friday, March 3, at the Park Ballroom, 300 Lexington Ave. S in New Prague. The evening begins with a social at 5 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The public is welcome and tickets will be available at the door. Northfield support group for families NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) sponsors free support groups for families and friends of individuals living with a mental illness. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. A family support group meets in Northfield on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the Northfield Community Resource Center, 1651 Jefferson Parkway, in Room HS 222. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon meets March 7 Beyond the Yellow Ribbon South of the River (BTYR) will be meeting from 7-8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, in the lower level of the Prior Lake VFW Club. All meetings are open to the public and they welcome people’s participation as well as their ability to volunteer. ‘Our Czech Heritage Club’ meets March 8 Our Czech Heritage Club will be holding its March meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at the New Prague Memorial Library, 400 Main St E. The program for the evening will consist of the construction of the display for the upcoming showing of “All My Loved Ones,” their annual Czech movie. Our Czech Heritage Club along with New Prague Area Community Education is presenting “All My Loved Ones” at the New Prague Middle School auditorium at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 30.
MN Deer Hunter’s Banquet is March 18 The Minnesota River Valley Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunter’s Association (MDHA) is having their 34th Annual Banquet on Saturday, March 18. Everyone is welcome to attend. Social hour starts at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the program starts at 7:30 p.m. There is a cost for the banquet.
