Pillow cleaning service visits April 20 St. Wenceslaus Youth welcomes everyone to Carlson’s Pillow Cleaning Service from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the St. Wenceslaus Church garage in New Prague. Pillows cleaned, deodorized, sanitized and fluffed. Crushed foam pillows can be cleaned. Polyester pillows can be recovered. This is a mobile service with same day service, done while you wait. Custom made new pillows and down comforters for sale. The Summer Mission Trip Students are hosting this event.
Friends of Library Book Sale is April 20 The New Prague Friends of the Library will hold its Spring Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the New Prague Public Library, 400 Main St E.
Donations are welcome and may be dropped off at the library during regular hours.
Car seat clinic to be held April 20 New Prague Auto Group and New Prague Area EMS will hold a free monthly car seat checkup event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 20, at the New Prague Chevrolet dealership east of New Prague.
It takes roughly 20 minutes to check each car seat; no appointments are necessary, and walk-ins are always welcome. Grandparents, expecting parents and others who transport children on a regular basis are invited to attend.
New Prague EMS Child Passenger Safety Technician volunteers will check for car seat manufacturer recalls, provide educational handouts, answer questions and offer tips to drivers to ensure correct installation of all child passenger safety restraints.

MCHS offering Heartsaver CPR and First Aid classes Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague is offering Heartsaver CPR from 8 a.m.-noon and First Aid from 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, in the Jameen Mape Conference Center. The Heartsaver CPR class is designed to teach CPR for victims of all ages, automatic external defibrillator (AED) use and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. The First Aid class will include first aid basics and instruction on medical, injury and environmental emergencies.

Local scouts Scouting for Food on Saturday Area residents are asked to set bags of food donations on their steps or by mailboxes for Scouting for Food on Saturday, April 20. Local Boy Scouts of Troop 323 and Cub Scouts of Pack 323 will pick up the donations around New Prague starting at 9 a.m. All food will be donated to the New Prague Peace Center. Suicide Grief Support Group meeting is April 23 Family, friends, and anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide, is invited to join the monthly meeting of the Suicide Grief Support Group from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Mayo Clinic Health System (Hospital), in the Jameen Mape Conference Room in New Prague. Enter through the Emergency Room doors (southwest entrance) and take the southeast elevator marked "2" to the lower level (B) and follow the signs to the Jameen Mape room.
