June 5 class offers training on preventing assault The Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club and the Timothy L. Correll Foundation have teamed up with the "Not Me" Assault Prevention Training for a class for girls and women ages 16 and older for this all important assault prevention class. This class is a must for women of all ages, especially girls in local communities who will be going to college this fall. The class will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club's Event Center. In this class participants will learn how to keep themselves safer. The "Not Me" Training's mission is to prevent pain and save lives by getting personal safety training to as many women and girls as possible. They have experienced trainers who are passionate about helping class participants be safer. More than 16,000 women and girls have been educated through this program. Class content is adjusted to meet the needs of each age group and comfort level. Feedback from young women and parents is that lessons learned from the class have been very valuable in many dangerous situations. Moms and daughters are encouraged to attend together. Ages 16-17 must attend with a paid adult. There is a class fee per person. This is an opportunity for parents to help safeguard their daughters against an assault. For more information or to register for the class contact Karen Correll, Timothy L. Correll Foundation, Inc. 612-770-8050.
