AA groups meet regularly in New Prague New Prague Alcoholics Anonymous holds five meetings each week in New Prague.
The organization meets at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 8 p.m. Mondays, 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Fridays. Meetings are held at New Prague Alliance Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
Alanon, for friends and families of alcoholics, also meets at 8 p.m. Mondays at Holy Trinity.
Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at FaithPoint Lutheran Church (the former State Bank of New Prague building). Call 952-457-2389 for more information.
Senior Citizens meet Aug. 2 The New Prague Senior Citizens will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the New Prague City Hall second floor club room. Irene Unger and Lorraine Schoenbauer are in charge of the lunch. The bus picks up senior citizens for local shopping every Wednesday. The bus goes to Burnsville the third Thursday of each month. For reservations call 952-496- 8341. All seniors are welcome to join the club for meetings and cards on the first Friday of each month at 12:45 p.m.
Immaculate Conception Church festival is Aug. 4 The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Lonsdale, welcomes everyone to its Annual Parish Festival on Sunday, Aug. 4. A Polka Mass at 10 a.m. features the I.C. Church Choir. A roast beef and hot ham dinner, including homemade rolls, kolacky and pies, will be served buffet style from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Take outs are available, with the air conditioned Civic Center open for eating take-out dinners.
There is also live entertainment, prize drawings, a homemade bakery booth, an ice cream stand, country market and crafts, bingo, Used-A-Bit Shop, and children's games.
Separated and Divorce Support Group meets Aug. 6 The Area Separated and Divorce Support Group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church, lower level, 215 Main St. E in New Prague. The next session is August 6. Come and experience good support as you move through this time in your life. People of all faiths are welcome.
