Czech Heritage Club meets Aug. 11

The Czech Heritage Club will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the upstairs meeting room of the New Prague City Hall. Speaker for the evening will be Kathy Peterson from the Montgomery Arts and Heritage Center.

Growing Through Grief meets Aug. 12

The Growing Through Grief support group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, in the Solarium at Queen of Peace Hospital.

Prairie Quilters

annual picnic Aug. 12

The Prairie Quilters of the New Prague area will hold their annual picnic at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at the home of Kate Edwards. There will also be a show and tell. If you can't remember what you are to bring or have questions, call Reidun at 952-758-3596.

Food & Fitness Fair set for Peace Center

Peace Center Food Shelf in New Prague is hosting a Food & Fitness Fair from 9 a.m. - Noon on Saturday, Aug. 14, in and around Queen's Court located next door to the Peace Center at 311 Columbus Ave. N.

Dr. Ann Sneiders, pediatrician at New Prague Medical Clinic, and Mary Taylor, licensed dietician will both speak on childhood development and good nutrition for children. There will also be drawings for exciting prizes.

Holy Trinity hosts dinner Aug. 18

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Video presentation, talk and meal served by the Senior High Youth Group.

Tickets available at the church office with proceeds going to the Senior Youth mission trip and retreats.
