AA groups meet regularly in New Prague
New Prague Alcoholics Anonymous holds five meetings each week in New Prague. The organization meets at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 8 p.m. Mondays, 8 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Fridays. Meetings are held at New Prague Alliance Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Alanon, for friends and families of alcoholics, also meets at 8 p.m. Mondays at Holy Trinity. Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at FaithPoint Lutheran Church (the former State Bank of New Prague building). Call 952-457-2389 for more information.
Look Good… Feel Better to meet Aug. 13
Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite and strength. It doesn't have to take away her self confidence. Look Good…Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to female cancer patients in active treatment. Participants will receive instructions and advice on dealing with the temporary appearance changes of cancer treatment and $250.00 worth of free cosmetics.This meeting will be held from 7 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, in the Solarium at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague. Peace Center offering backpacks Aug. 17
Peace Center Food Shelf in New Prague is once again offering back packs andschool supplies for Peace Center clients and others in the community who are experiencing financial difficulties. The event will take place from 9 - 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, in the Queen's Court driveway, right next to Peace Center. Back packs will be limited to the first 75 children attending. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
