Missota shakeup coming

Farmington and Shakopee appear to be on their way out of the Missota Conference.
The South Suburban Conference voted this week to accept Farmington as a member effective for the 2014-15 school year. The decision becomes effective following a vote by the Farmington school board next month.
Also this week, Shakopee’s school board gave the district’s activities director permission to apply to the South Suburban Conference, which they have  done.
New Prague activities director Brad Skogerboe said there could be other changes in the conference. He has scheduled a meeting with head coaches in the district and will be meeting with other conference ADs to discuss options. He said there are two schools, which he would not name, that have expressed interest in joining the Missota.
