Motor vehicle accident Hwy 13 and Co Rd 28

     A motor vehicle accident occurred around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the intersection of MN Hwy 13 and Le Sueur County Road 28 north of Montgomery. In addition to some debris on the highway, the crash resulted in some minor traffic snarls and delays for motorists, as the intersection was partially blocked by emergency response vehicles assisting at the scene. 

     The Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery Fire Department, Montgomery Fire and Rescue, Montgomery Area Emergency Medical Service, Le Sueur County Sheriff's Department and North Memorial Ambulance assisted at the crash scene.

     UPDATE:   According to a report from the Minnesota State Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved in the crash, which resulted in three being injured. A 2007 Nissan Sentra, driven by Sydney Tyler, age 20, of Crystal, was northbound on Hwy 13. A 2001 Chrysler Minivan, driven by David Hirsch, 21, of Northfield, was westbound on CR 28. The report stated that the minivan pulled out and the vehicles collided.  

   Tyler, Hirsch, and John Quam, age 27 of Farmington, a passenger in the minivan all sustained non-lifethreatening injuries.  A third passenger in the mninvan, 63 year old Chieng Bukjoik of Faribault had no apparent injuries.
