Motorcycle crash injures New Prague man

A 48-year-old New Prague man was injured Sunday evening,Aug. 20, when his motorcycle left the road and crashed near the intersection of 45th Street W and Kanabec Ave. in Wheatland Township, rural Rice County
According to the Rice county Sheriff’s Office, Joel Quaintance was thrown from the motorcycle when he lost control in a curve on 45th Street. North Ambulance and Lonsdale Rescue responded to the scene and he was flown by helicopter from the scene to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with serious injuries. 
The Rice County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Lonsdale Police, Lonsdale Rescue and North Ambulance. the cause of the crash is under investigation by the Rice Count sheriff’s Office.
