For the third straight year, a team representing New Prague High School is competing in the Minnesota High School Bowling League.

The New Prague team is leading the Metro Southwest conference after this week’s meet, which was held Monday, Oct. 28, at Strike Force Bowl in New Prague. The Trojans won eight out of 10 games for two match points. With an 11-3 record and 49 wins, New Prague remains one point ahead of Chaska/Chanhassen who sits with a 10-4 record and 48 wins.

There are two meets remaining and then the conference tournament will be held at Country Club Lanes in Excelsior on Friday, Nov. 15.

Regardless of who wins the conference, a team must win its conference tournament to advance to the Minnesota State Tournament. There is another opportunity to compete in the post season  for the runner-up of the conference tournament, in which you must finish in the top four out of approximately 22-24 teams to advance to the Minnesota State Tournament.
