Orioles fall to Faribault
Faribault scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to take a 6-5 win over New Prague in the Region 3C playoffs Thursday, Aug. 10, in Veseli.
With the loss, the Orioles receive the region’s No. 3 seed for the State Class C Baseball Tournament. Their first game will be played Their first game will be Friday, Aug. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Norwood.
The double-elimination region tournament continues Friday, Aug. 11, as Faribault travels to Union Hill for a 7:30 p.m. game. If Union Hill wins, they are the region champions and receive a first-round bye. If Faribault wins, the two teams would play again Sunday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. at Union Hill with the winner being the Region 3C champion.
