Peter Tikalsky, age 47

Peter Tikalsky, age 47, of New Prague, died suddenly at home Sunday, July 10, 2016, as a result of complications of an extended illness.

Peter was born on April 20, 1969 in New Prague to Richard F. and Jeanne A. (Pumper) Tikalsky. He was a graduate of the New Prague High School class of 1987. Peter worked as a plumber. He loved and took care of the chickens on the family farm and loved gardening and cooking. Peter looked forward to spending time with his nieces and nephews and was very close to them. He spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors.

Peter is survived by his parents, Richard and Jeanne Tikalsky of New Prague; siblings, Mary (Michael) Counter of Le Sueur, Paul (Susan) Tikalsky of New Prague, Sarah Fynboh of Northfield, Rebekah (Phil) Bisek of Webster; Grandmother, Dorothy J.R. Pumper of Le Center; 7 nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James & Bessie Tikalsky & Myles Pumper.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at FaithPoint Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Steven Trewartha officiating. Visitation took place at church 2 hours prior to service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Lunch followed the service at the church.
