Pexa finishes 17th at state golf

New Prague's Jack Pexa shot a second-day round of 76 to finish with a 77-76— 153 at the State Class AAA boys golf tournament June 11-12, at Bunker Hills GC in Coon Rapids.

Pexa finished the tournament tied for 17th. He was 10 strokes behind medalist Cody Seal of Chanhassen, who had a 70-73—143.

Section 2AAA team champion Eden Prairie won the state team championship with a two-day score of 609. They finished one stroke ahead of Wayzata. Competition was interrupted about 90 minutes due to heavy rains, causing a delay in the girls tournament as well.
