Pieces of stolen church bell recovered

Le Sueur County investigators have recovered parts of the stolen church bell from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at German Lake from a scrap yard, Sheriff Dave Tietz said in a press release Monday. Tietz said investigators identified two adult male suspects Chad Alan Anderson, 27, of St. Peter and Leo James Pete, 28, of Kasota in the theft. Tietz said the two were detained, then released after questioning.
