Post 45 wins opener

New Prague defeated Farmington 3-2 in its opening game of the Third District American Legion baseball playoffs in Burnsville Wednesday, July 26.

Kyle Bergstrom pitched seven innings to take the win. Post 45, the No. 6 seed, will take on Mahtomedi at 5 p.m. Thursday at Legion Field in Burnsville. The winner advances to the semifinals on Saturday, while the loser goes into the loser's bracket game at 8 p.m. Friday against either Lakeville North or Apple Valley.
