Prchal receives award for work with student council

Jodi Prchal, a science teacher at New Prague Middle School and the student council advisor at the school, has received a national award.
The National Association of Student Councils (NASC) named Prchal of New Prague as one of the national Warren E Shull Middle Level Advisors of the Year. She received the Midwest division of the award, which covers Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
In June, Prchal will represent the NASC Midwest Region Number Four in the competition for the National Student Council Middle Level Advisor of the Year Award. Prchal is one of six candidates for the award that will be announced at the NASC 72nd annual conference in Ft. Worth, TX.
When Prchal found out she had been named a recipient, she said she was humbled. She has a passion and love for what she does as an advisor.
