Prior Lake tops Union Hill for state berth

Prior Lake defeated Union Hill 2-1 in 11 innings Wednesday, Aug. 3, to earn a spot in the State Class C Tournament.

In other Region 3C games Wednesday, St. Benedict defeated Faribault 4-3 and Shakopee beat St. Patrick 8-3. Both Faribault and St. Patrick were eliminated. 

Two final state tournament berths for Region 3C will be determined Friday evening. St. Benedict will play at Union Hill and Shakopee plays New Market in New Prague. Both games are at 7:30 p.m.

The tournament continues Sunday with the four remaining teams playing to determine seeding. Prior Lake will play at Montgomery and The two winners from Fridays games will play at a site to be determined.
