Rain held off for Pioneer Power Show
The 44th Annual Le Sueur County Pioneer Power Show was held Friday through Sunday, Aug. 25-27, and despite some threatening weather, things went well, according to Pioneer Power President Tom Graham.
“On Friday we had a good day… Great weather and the consignment auction drew an exceptional crowd - one of the largest we’ve had on a Friday,” said Graham.
“There were about 300 to 400 people there for the auction and we had two and sometimes three auctioneers going at one time,” he said.
There had been a forecast of rain during the day, but for the most part it held off until that evening, and didn’t hit the Le Sueur area as hard as some other areas of the county.
He said with the anticipated rainfall, the threshers did a little extra work, anticipating a wet Saturday.
