Raymond O’Brien, 89
Raymond T. O’Brien, 89, of New Prague, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Mala Strana Health Care Center in New Prague.
R a y m o n d O’Brien was born April 24, 1923, in Kilkenny to Thomas and Catherine (Hruska) O’Brien. He attended Le Sueur County Country Schools.
His marriage to Pauline Lexa took place on September 26, 1953, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. He was a trucker for Glisczinski Trucking, worked at the Montgomery Cheese Factory and M&SL Railroad and was a trucker and mechanic for Hruby Implement in Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife Pauline, of New Prague, a daughter, Mary E. O’Brien of New Prague, a granddaughter Jennifer “B.J.” (Brad) Flicek of Lonsdale; greatgrandchildren Kailey and Blake Flicek of Lonsdale and a brother Jerome (Cleo) O’Brien of Isle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Timothy, sister Eileen Doyle and brothers Harry and Bob O’Brien.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague; with Father Kevin Clinton officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hruska, Julie Krause, Jim O’Brien, Mark Wolf, Gary O’Brien and Mike O’Brien.
