A reading hat trick
On February 18, Bill Menozzi read to Amanda Wetzell's second grade class at Raven Stream Elementary School. Menozzi, son of Superintendent Craig Menozzi of New Prague Area Schools, read to three grades as students celebrated the 100th day of school with a Hat Day. Any student who brought in 50 cents for the Pennies for Patients fundraiser could wear a hat that day. Menozzi works in the Twin Cities and is a former collegiate hockey player who played two years with the United States Hockey League in Sioux Falls, SD, at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA, and at Bethel University in St. Paul. He read as part of a program that brings positive male role models into the classroom to promote reading.
