Redwood Valley downs WEM

Redwood Valley defeated WEM 25-7 in the season opening football game for both teams Friday, Sept. 1 in Redwood Falls. Sophomore quarterback Grant McBroom, completed 17 passes for 160 yards in his varsity debut. Sophomore Jaden Taylor scored the lone touchdowns for the Bucs on a 2 yard run in the third quarter. WEM will host Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Friday in Waterville. LCWM defeated the Bucs, 7-6, in overtime last year, snapping an 18 game losing streak to WEM. The Knights lost34-9 to jackson County Central in their opener.
