Mark Griffith, Program Director for South Central Minnesota EMS (far left) recognized members of the Montgomery Fire, Rescue and Ambulance for their efforts that helped save the life of a local resident. Griffith was at the regular meeting of the Montgomery City Council on Monday and presented the Lifesave Award to (from left) Fire Chief Ken Pavek, accepting for Ken Weydert, who was not able to attend, and Rich Sembauer, Brenda Hentges, Bob Forcell, Dave Gaul, Tim Adamek, Hayley Prchl, and Montgomery EMS Director, Neil Vlasak. Griffith said each member on the scene on April 11, 2016, acted quickly and efficiently, responding to the call and coordinating CPR. “Their dedication and persistence paid off and this person survived,” he said, adding that the departments should also be recognized for promoting a culture that values training, teamwork, and preparation.
