Restoring an example of Americana

This is a great example of Americana folk art.
That's how Connie Misener described the mural on the west wall of the Back and Neck Clinic building at the intersection of Main Street and First Ave. NE. Misener and her son Chris were nearing completion of a restoration of that mural on Wednesday, June 17. She estimated it took them about four days to restore the faded artwork.
She said several people had been very helpful with the research on the building. Among them were New Prague City Planner Ken Ondich and Marian Topic. Misener was able to locate an old photo of the building that she was able to work from.
It was enough to get by to match the colors
