Robert "Bob" James Kuball, 61
Robert "Bob" James Kuball, age 61, of rural Waterville, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services were at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment was at Concordia Cemetery, North Morristown. Visitation was at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Friday, January 22, 2016, from 3 to 7 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the services.
Bob, the son of Laverne and Dorothy (Hollinger) Kuball, was born on September 10, 1954 in Faribault. In 1972, he graduated from Morristown High School. After high school, he continued his education at the University of Minnesota in Waseca before pursuing his lifelong career and passion as a dairy farmer. Bob married Debbie Bjorhus on July 19, 1975 in Felton. Together the couple continued to build a legacy of faith and family on the farm. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who encouraged the passions of the leadership he portrayed. He enjoyed following his children and his grandchildren in all of their activities.
Bob was a dedicated civic leader as a member of the W-E-M School Board, and Director on the Four County Ag Services and the Rice County American Dairy Association Boards. His commitment to agriculture and education brought him many awards including the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree, Rice Co. Farm Family of the Year and Outstanding Conservationist of the Year. Bob was also an avid supporter of WEM school events and the University of Minnesota and its athletic department; in particular Gopher Wrestling.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; three children, Nathan (and Shannon) Kuball of Waterville, Kelly Kuball of Bakersfield, CA and Cassandra Kuball of Washington D.C.; three grandchildren, Kelsey, Emma and Keegan Kuball, all of Waterville; mother, Dorothy Kuball-Anonby of Waterville; mother-in-law, Audrey Bjorhus of Felton; seven siblings, Tom (and Sam) Kuball of Waterville, Karen (and Gene) Kuntz of Waterville, Paula (and Craig) Stock of Worthington, Connie (and Mark) Pittmann of Morristown, Dave (and Jan) Kuball of Golden Valley, Michael (and Carrie) Kuball of New Richmond, WI, and Jim (and Bobbi) Kuball of Mankato; brother-in-law, Stewart (and Jennifer) Bjorhus of Felton; and sister-in-law, Kathy (and Greg) Tweten of Benson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Laverne Kuball; father-in-law, Donald Bjorhus; and one nephew, Andy Kuball.
