Rollover accident sends one to hospital

One person was hospitalized in a one-vehicle rollover accident on Tuesday, Dec. 3. 

According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened at approximately 10:26 a.m. The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a report of a one-vehicle, personal injury accident on County Road 11 in Cordova Township.

County deputies, Le Center Fire Department and the Le Center Ambulance responded to the scene. Upon arrival, it was learned that a full-sized SUV had entered the ditch and struck a utility pole. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Mary Ann Woelfel, 50, of Le Center, was extracted from the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.

Woelfel was treated at the scene and transported to Mayo Clinic Health Center hospital in New Prague. She was later transferred to North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Le  Sueur County Sheriff’s Office.
