Ronald William Sippel, 71 of Mapleton, died August 13 at Mayo Clinic Hospital - St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Memorial Mass will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Mapleton with visitation 9 am-11 am. Reverend Jason Kern will be officiating. Private graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Mapleton. Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ron was born August 14, 1945 in Blue Earth to Leo and Dorelda (Wiese) Sippel. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1963. On April 26, 1968, he was united in marriage to Nan Catherine Garry in Delavan, and they raised two children, James and Shannon. For many years until his retirement in 2002, Ronald owned and operated Ford/Lincoln/ Mercury dealerships in Mapleton and Blue Earth. Ron’s passions included gun collecting, boating, cars, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his son, James T. (Kris) Sippel of Webster, MN; daughter, Shannon M. (Rick) Allen of New Prague and their children Hunter Currie, Brekkyn Currie, Hannah Allen, and Sarah Allen; brother, Randy (Alana) Sippel and their children Tammi (Ken) Leppla and Jason and Angie Sippel; brother, Greg (Chris) Staloch and their sons Nicolas and Tyler; step-mother, Marvel Sippel; brothers-in-law, Mike (Kitty) Garry and their children and Pat Garry and his children.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Nan; father, Leo Sippel; mother, Dorelda Sippel; mother-in-law, Catherine Garry; father-in-law, Michael Garry; and sister-in-law, Kate Garry.
