School board approves phased-in boundary fix

The New Prague Area School Board approved a two-year phase-in of new boundaries for elementary school attendance areas.

The first year will see students in the Lonsdale area (south of Rice County Road 6 and east of Highway 19) transferred to Falcon Ridge Elementary in New Prague from Eagle View Elementary in Elko New Market. Eagle View is nearing its capacity while Falcon Ridge has seen declining enrollment since the school boundaries were established five years ago.
