Search continues for missing Jordan man

The family and friends of Glen Allen Hein are asking for help in a search for the area man who has been missing for a week.

Glen Hein, 44, of Jordan, was seen walking away from his home in Jordan around 2:30 p.m. January 1. A friend of the family told them he had seen Hein on January 2 between noon and 5 p.m. walking toward Jordan along the railroad tracks near Highway 169. The friend didn’t think it unusual since Hein walks and doesn’t drive.

The Hein family notified the Jordan Police Department on January 2. According to a report from the department, it has been conducting searches on leads concerning Glen Hein. The Jordan Police have also contacted the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Chaska Police Department about leads, but so far, nothing has turned up.

Family, friends and others have also held searches in the area, with the last being on Saturday, Jan 7.

Glen Hein is five-foot, six-inches tall and 130 pounds. He has dishwater blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing Carhart coveralls, workstyle type boots—both tan according to the Jordan Police Department—and a red knit cap.

Anyone who has seen Glen Hein or has information about him can call the Jordan Police at 952-492-2009 or Todd Hein, his brother, 952-492-3172.
