Sharon Perkinson, 73
Sharon P. Perkinson, 73, of Montgomery, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
Sharon was born on March 3, 1940 in Faribault, a daughter of William and Ethel (Siercks) Quinn. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy School in Faribault. Sharon married Donald Perkinson in November 1962, at St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny. She worked at Great Northern Railroad in St. Paul, Montgomery Auto Repair in Montgomery and Holomek Furniture in Montgomery. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, shopping, loved Christmas and socializing. Sharon was a church volunteer doing bookkeeping and working with the fall festival.
She is survived by children Theresa (Ken) Skluzacek, Madison, SD, Patrick (Cindy) Perkinson, New Prague, and Colleen (Tom) Ambroz, New Prague; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and two sisters Judy (John) Streitz, Minneapolis, and Diane Wild, Le Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings Bill Quinn, Catherine Rogers and Joan Chester.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery, and Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
