Singer spreads ‘Fearless’ message
Singer Kat Perkins hit all the right notes when she visited TCU Montgomery Middle School on Thursday.
The singer had one simple, yet important question to the middle school Titans. “What would you be doing if you weren’t afraid?”
Perkins, a Season Six semi-finalist on the popular show “The Voice,” presented the students with three simple tips to become fearless, which is the title of one of her hit singles. She said to be fearless, you need to be brave, kind, and if you dream it, do it.
Her inspirational talk and message of living a fearless life, the pursuit of dreams, and making a positive impact on the world, came to TCU by the school’s program, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
The singer, who makes her home in Bloomington, interacted with the students and displayed her powerful pipes by singing “Fearless” and “Barracuda”, a song she also sang on The Voice.
