Southern Stars hand Trojans first loss

New Prague lost its first game of the season to the Southern Stars (Chaska/ Shakopee/Prior Lake) in adapted softball by an 18-13 score Tuesday, April 7.

On Wednesday, April 8, New Prague defeated the South Washington Thunderbolts 17-2. No other information was available from that game.

New Prague is 3-1 on the season.

The Trojans are scheduled to play at St. Paul Humboldt Thursday, April 16. They host Dakota United on Monday, April 20, and will face South Suburban Thursday, April 23, at Bloomington Kennedy.

Stars 18, Trojans 13

The Trojans spotted the Stars five runs in the top of the first inning and that proved to be the final margin.

Trailing 6-1 in the second, the Trojans rallied with Marcus Schoenbauer, Kayla Doran, Sam Bisek, Erik Johnson and Anna Busch collecting hits as New Prague tied it at 6-6.

The Trojans gave up three runs in the third, but New Prague got one back when DJ Gilder singled and scored on a hit by Phillip Weber.

The Stars took a 14-7 lead in the fourth. New Prague got some runs back in the fifth and sixth, but were not able to make up the difference.
