Students to receive healthful food choices

In the next few months, New Prague Area Schools will be offering all students and staff members at the secondary level an alternate meal choice in the main lunch line.

The increase in choices is part of a nationwide trend towards healthier eating in schools as part of the Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act, which requires schools to offer whole grain, lower fat items in the lunchroom.

We need to have this program in place by June of 2006
