Students sign with college sports

Tyler Lapic, a 2009 New Prague High School graduate, has signed a letter of intent to play hockey at the University of Wisconsin.

Lapic committed to the Badgers during his senior year, in the fall of 2008. He played four years for the Trojans and is the school's all-time leading scorer with 214 points. He is currently playing Junior hockey in the United States Hockey League with the Chicago Steel. He plans to enroll in Madison in the fall of 2011.

Tyler is the son of Dale and Kathy Lapic of New Prague.

Amber Houser, a senior at New Prague High School, has signed to play golf at Division I South Dakota State University. Houser was a member of the 2010 state champion New Prague High School girls golf team and is looking toward helping the Trojans repeat during her senior season. Houser is the daughter of Dave and Staci Houser of New Prague.
