Super Volunteers
When a million visitors descend to the streets and skyways of Minneapolis this week for Super Bowl LII, two volunteers they will be greeted by will come from Montgomery.
Julie Bifano and Christine Skluzacek are among the 10,000 volunteer members of Crew 52, guides and goodwill ambassadors for the throngs expected to flood the Twin Cities this weekend. The two made the cut out of 30,000 applications and interviews last summer.
Many festivities surrounding the big game are free and open to the public and take place primarily along a six-block stretch downtown. It’s being called “Super Bowl Live,” and it’ll have Minnesota-themed activities booths, winter sports, even free concerts.
