Superintendent candidates to be named at board meeting

The New Prague Area School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, and is expected to approve the list of six semifinalists for the superintendent vacancy. Once those candidates are approved, their names will be released. Interviews will be held the week of March 18, with finalists being interviewed again the following week.

The board is holding its regular meeting on the second Monday of the month instead of its usual fourth Monday date, due to the superintendent search timeline. 

Other agenda items include consideration of an early retirement offer to several teachers, the athletic conference situation, including board approval to apply to another conference, and approval of a proposed band trip during the 2013-14 school year.
