Tennis team’s season ends at section meet

The New Prague Trojan girls tennis team concluded its season Friday, Oct. 13, in the Section 2AA individual tournament at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The Trojans had two entries in singles and two in doubles.

In singles, junior Jenna Larson was the No. 8 seed and she opened with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kelly Neman of Worthington.

"Kianna’s opponent came to the net a lot, which posed a bit of a challenge for Kianna. She handled it well and put up a good fight," Borwege said. "She played some of her best tennis, despite losing in two close sets. It was nice to see her compete at this level and have some success."
