Tennis team to host Tigers in season finale
The New Prague Trojan boys tennis team lost to two of the better teams in the Missota Conference last week by 7-0 scores.
New Prague was scheduled to face Red Wing Tuesday, May 11. They close out the regular season Thursday, May 13, at home against Farmington. They begin the Section 2AA team tournament Tuesday, May 18. Pairings have not been announced as of press time. They will be posted at newpraguetimes.com when they are available.

Northfield dominated the contest Tuesday, May 4, winning all matches in straight sets. No. 2 singles player Joe Morris had a strong showing, pushing his Northfield opponent to seven games in both sets.
Singles competitors for the Trojans were Kam Manthe, Morris, Kyle Chevalier and Joe Klehr. Doubles teams were Andy Roach/Mason Johnson, Aaron Hendrick-son/Nate McNab and Billy Sonnek/David Lim.
Tigers 7, Trojans 0
New Prague and Hutchinson finished the match just before the rains came Thursday, with the Tigers taking a 7-0 win at New Prague.
Six of the seven matches were won in straight sets by Hutch, but the No. 1 doubles team of Klehr and Roach played their best match of the year, pushing Hutch's first pair to three sets, losing 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Playing at singles for the Trojans were Manthe, Morris, Chevalier and Steve Girard. Other doubles teams were Johnson/Tyler Rancour and Hendrickson/McNab.
