Thomas R. Minnick, 49

Thomas R. Minnick, 49, of Belle Plaine, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Born on December 22, 1961, in Red Wing, Tom was a son of David and Sally (Carr) Minnick. He attended Red Wing High School and St. Cloud State University, and married Gail Eischens on April 8, 1989, at St. Benedict. Tom was an assistant vice president of operations at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Minneapolis for 16 years. He drove stock cars for many years, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and served as a softball coach and Little League Baseball coach.

He is survived by his wife; two children Taylor Minnick, Belle Plaine, and Cole Minnick, Belle Plaine; his father; stepmother Connie, Red Wing; a brother Tony (Randi) Minnick, Minneapolis; stepbrothers Darren (Jennie) Asleson, Farmington, and Keith Asleson, Goodhue; parents-in-law Leonard and Verna Eischens, Belle Plaine; and brother-in-law William McKinley, Red Wing.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and a sister Jenny McKinley.

A Memorial Service was held Sunday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m., at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with Rev. Diane Goulson officiating.

Interment was held at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Honorary pallbearers were Amy Shiek and Carrie Engle.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bruzek Funeral Home.
