Thursday's Trojan results

New Prague's girls basketball team defeated Waseca 61-45 in a non-conference game at New Prague Thursday, Dec. 30. Anna Rynda had 29 points to lead the Trojans, while Taylor Rookaird added 12. The Trojans (6-3) play at Northfield Tuesday, Jan. 4

New Prague High School's wrestling team finished tied for 24th out of 56 teams with 76 points at the Rumble on the Red in Fargo, ND. Trevor Westerlund was the only Trojan to place, taking seventh place at 103 pounds. Scott West won the tourney title with 201 points. New Prague (9-4 in dual meets) hosts Shakopee Thursday, Jan. 6

New Prague's boys hockey team lost to Bemidji 4-0 in the consolation championship of the Duluth Heritage Classic Thursday. A day earlier, the Trojans advanced to the game with a 5-4 shootout win over Buffalo. That game officially ends in a 4-4 tie. New Prague The Trojans (3-6-1) play at Shakopee Tuesday, Jan. 4.

White Bear Lake handed New Prague its first loss of the season, 46-43. Jed Kreuser led the Trojans with 14 points. The Trojans (7-1) play at Albert Lea Thursday, Jan. 6.
