Time for a different look

Well, last Thursday I decided to get a new look. It wasn’t a snap decision, but it was drastic, as I had the ponytail I’ve been growing cut off.

Instead of ending up on the floor, the hair will be sent to Locks of Love. It is a non-profit organization in Florida that takes donated hair and makes hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children under age 18 who have lost their hair due to medical reasons. Anyone can donate hair, but it must be a minimum of 10 inches in length. I had found out about the organization through an article about someone donating their hair.

As I sat down in one of the chairs at Artistic Edge, Kristin Flicek asked me how long I had been growing my hair. Two years
