Trojan boys 4th at home invitational

The New Prague Trojans competed in three meets in the past week, including a fourth-place finish in their home invitational.

On Thursday, May 5, the Trojans compete in the Northfield Invitational at Northfield GC. They will play in the Shakopee Invitational at Stonebrooke GC on Monday, May 9.

At Island View GC On Tuesday, April 26, the Trojans competed in an 18- hole Wright County Conference meet and placed fifth of six teams. Waconia, led by Medallist Connor Glenn’s 71, took first place with a 313. Holy Family Catholic was second at 323, followed by four teams finishing within three strokes of each other, with Orono third (333), Hutchinson fourth (334), New Prague fifth (335) and Delano sixth (336).

Noah Weichert had his best round, breaking 80 for the first time with a 79 to lead the Trojans. Michael Geiger was next with an 81, followed by Henry Geiger (87), Andy Dalsin (88), Hunter Witt (94) and Patrick Kuehl (96).

At New Prague GC The New Prague Trojan boys golf team hosted a home invitational meet Friday, April 29, at the New Prague Golf Club, with the team placing fourth of eight teams.

Prior Lake took first place at the meet with a 286, with four players shooting between 80 and 83. Shakopee was second with a 339, followed by Jordan (346), New Prague (347), Waconia (354), Maple Lake (371), Belle Plaine (403) and Sibley East/Norwood Young America (411).
