Trojan boys finish eighth at Missota meet

The New Prague Trojan boys cross country team competed at the Missota Conference Championships Tuesday, Oct. 19, placing eighth of eight teams.

Red Wing won the conference championship with 44 points, with Chaska second at 59. Chanhassen was third at 83, followed by Shakopee (114), Farmington (126), Northfield (126), Holy Angels (177) and New Prague (183).

The Trojans' top finisher was Andrew Salaba, who finished 31st overall in 18 minutes, 11 seconds. He was followed by Hunter Currie (35th, 18:16), Carter Dorzinski (38th, 18:32), Andy Roach (39th, 18:34), Zach Dietz (40th, 18:36), John Geiger (46th, 18:58) and Jason Erickson (47th, 18:58).

Coach Nick Meyer said his squad had a tough day on its home course at the New Prague Golf Club.
