Trojan boys place 2nd at Red Wing track meet
The New Prague Trojan boys track and field team took second of three teams at the Red Wing meet Tuesday, April 22.
After the Red Wing meet, the Trojans had a full week away from competition to rest and prepare for the Missota Conference Relays in Shakopee on Tuesday, April 29. They host St. Clair and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on Friday, May 2, then on Tuesday, May 6, they compete in the Section 4AA True Team meet at Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria. Teams competing are Belle Plaine, Benilde-St. Margaret's, Blake, Delano, Holy Family Catholic, Jordan, Mound-Westonka, New Prague, Orono, Rockford, Waconia and Watertown-Mayer.
Red Wing meet
Hastings won the meet with 91 points, with the Trojans close behind at 85. Red Wing was third with 62 and Lake City fourth with 34.
It was New Prague's fourth meet in eight days, after having won three other meets.
We were missing about a third of the team for a music festival and had some key athletes nursing injuries
