Trojan boys top Hutch
The New Prague Trojans boys basketball team split a pair of Wright County Conference games last week.
The Trojans (10-13, 3-4 Wright County East) had a rough second half in losing 40-27 at Delano, then played well in a 57-40 win over Hutchinson.
The Trojans travel to Waconia Friday, Feb. 23, for a 7 p.m. game. They play their final home game of the season Tuesday, Feb. 27, against Holy Family Catholic. Del.
Tigers 40, Trojans 27 New Prague and Delano played a tight first half, with the Trojans trailing by three points at halftime.
But things changed in the second half as the Trojan offense went cold, scoring just eight points in the final 18 minutes, as Delano claimed a 40-27 win.
Nathan Brusseau was the only Trojan to reach double figures, with 13 points. Also scoring were Hunter Nielsen (6), Austin Zimmer (4) and Ben Novak and Tyler Kemp (2 each).
