Trojan Football Youth Camp runs Aug. 2-5

The New Prague Trojan football coaches will host the ninth annual Trojan Football Youth Camp beginning Monday, Aug. 2, and running through Thursday, Aug. 5.

The camp is open to anyone entering the third through ninth grade. Camp times are 6-8 p.m. each night.

The camp will be held at the New Prague High School practice fields, north of the high school.

This camp is intended to teach the fundamentals of football to all campers. Offensive, defensive and specialist skills will be taught nightly. The younger campers will learn the fundamentals and techniques that go along with all positions in football. The older campers will focus more individually on a certain position and will also begin the team concept of Trojan football. Each night will end with flag football games.

The camp prides itself on a very high coach to camper ratio. The camp is broken into three levels, elementary, middle school and ninth grade. Coaches work hard to make sure it is a positive, fun and exciting event for each camper.
